STEP UP FOR KIDS!
Colorado is joining 49 other states in making kids a political priority this election season.

Featured speakers include:

• Dr. Steve Berman, Pediatrician at Children’s Hospital and former President of the American Academy of Pediatrics
• Rev. Dr. Jim Ryan, Council Executive, Colorado Council of Churches
• Shari Shink, J.D., Founder and Executive Director, Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center
• Bob Cooper, MSW, CEO, Tennyson Center for Children
• J.C. Koebel, Graduate of Colorado’s Foster Care System

Each of the featured speakers will speak for 1-2 minutes about various children’s policy issues and the importance of children’s issues this election cycle and beyond.

WHY:  Every Child Matters is leading a national movement to make kids a political priority.  Kids can’t vote and they can’t ask candidates the tough questions… but WE CAN.  The Step Up for Kids rallies nationwide will raise public awareness about critical children’s issues including access to health care, quality education, child care, and abuse & neglect prevention and treatment.

Colorado Children’s Campaign, Great Education Colorado, Qualistar Early Learning, Denver Preschool Program, Colorado Head Start Association, Invest in Kids, Latina Initiative,

Step Up for Kids is a non-partisan public education event.  Every Child Matters is a non-partisan 501c3 working to make kids a political priority. ECM does not support or endorse any candidate or political party.

In attending political events of any kind, neither Tennyson Center nor Every Child Matters endorses a particular candidate or party.
