Child Helping Organization
Changes Name
Denver, CO - Colorado Christian
Home Tennyson Center for Children & Families, today
changed its name to Tennyson Center for Children
at Colorado Christian Home. The decision to retain Colorado
Christian Home as part of its name reflects the historical
significance of this nearly 100-year-old moniker for
the organization originally begun in Loveland, Colorado
in 1904. The main campus at 2950 Tennyson Street will
continue to be referred to as the Colorado Christian
Home campus thus the inclusion of "at Colorado Christian
Home" in the new name. Tennyson Center for Children
serves a population of at-risk, abused and neglected
children and their families and has done so from their
29th Avenue/Tennyson Street location since 1910. Nationally,
they are the sponsors of the website, www.childabuse.org.
Tennyson Center for Children
Executive Director, Bob Cooper added that, "the change
clearly reflects the importance, emphasis and value
we place on those we are committed to helping - the
children. Our new identity signals that first and foremost
our mission centers on helping kids."
Tennyson Center for Children
served 473 children and an additional 1,372 family members
during 2002. The company projects an operating budget
of $11.3 million for 2003.
