Handcrafted, One-of-a-Kind Quilts on Sale!!! Tennyson Center for Children will hold one of its popular, benefit quilt sales on Saturday, September 9, 2006 from 10am until 2pm in the main library of Tennyson Center for Children at Colorado Christian Home. The unique, hand-made quilts have been crafted by artisans from church groups, friends and neighbors of the center, from throughout the Rocky Mountain West. Sizes run the gamut from baby/crib, twin, double, queen and king and prices for the one-of-a-kind works of art begin from as low as $30. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the century-old children’s center, the Rocky Mountain region’s largest treatment facility and K-8 school for abused, neglected and at-risk youth, aged 5-14. Over $220,000 has been generated from the sales since they first began in the early 1970s. Tennyson Center for Children is located at the corner of 29th Avenue and Tennyson Street in Denver’s West Highlands neighborhood. The facility serves over 1,500 children and their families annually. For more information about the sale, call Nancy Hegarty at 720-855-3317 or email her at [email protected].
