Day Treatment Program
For children who need an intensive treatment and educational program, Tennyson Center for Children’s Day Treatment Program is available. Our accredited K-12 therapeutic program combines education curriculum with therapy. Our program uses the evidence-based model Positive Behavior Intervention Support. We help children with behavioral challenges learn new skills that help them to better function in a less restrictive educational setting. A collaborative effort with families and community agencies ensures a successful transition into a less restrictive educational setting.
Day Treatment Services Include:
- Individualized treatment
- Individual educational assessment and learning plans
- Therapy services (family, milieu, individual, group)
- Year-round services
- 24-hour crisis support from a clinician
- Transportation
- Reintegration into a less restrictive education setting
- Ongoing psychiatric care and consultation for certain payer sources
- Low student-to-staff ratio
- Academic instruction designed to meet the individual students needs
