Classroom Support Youth Treatment Counselors
Assists the classroom teacher with 1×1, small group educational instruction and behavior management, keeping with each child’s IEP and treatment plan. Seeking patient and energetic candidates with ability to set limits, form trusting relationships and teach social skills with elementary, middle and high school aged EBD students. Provides coverage for extended periods of time to classrooms in need of support due to staff breaks, vacations, open positions or high acuity behaviors. Works Monday-Friday 7:15-3:15; includes working during some school breaks and holidays providing coverage in an assigned residential unit. Candidates with previous Para-professional or direct care experience in a residential and/or day treatment program highly preferred. Must have a BA degree in a Human Service related field OR equivalent work experience. This is not a masters level clinical school counselor position. All candidates must have a valid Colorado Driver’s license and be over the age of 21. We are child-centered, family-focused and community based and work from a trauma informed care framework to assist the child in learning new coping skills and build positive self-esteem. Clinician-Special Services Unit
Licensed clinician responsible for providing family, individual and group therapy as well as clinical case management for clients in a short term stabilization unit. Facilitates intakes and admissions into the SSU, screens referral calls, coordinates treatment and discharge/aftercare planning, and med reviews with the consulting psychiatrist. Participates on the pager rotation as scheduled to provide on-call crisis consultation. Must be listed on DORA as a licensed clinician (LCSW/LPC or LMFT), have two years post graduate experience treating children and families, residential or inpatient experience preferred. Must have strong diagnostic skills and ability to problem solve in a crisis. Strong ability to multi-task required. All candidates must have a valid Colorado Driver’s license. Night Youth Treatment Counselor
Awake overnight position responsible for scheduled bed checks, routine cottage housekeeping and the care and supervision of the children in the assigned residential unit (ages 5-18). Implements the therapeutic milieu following the children’s individual treatment plans with a balance of nurturance and limit setting demonstrating an understanding of the emotional needs of the children. Provides a caring and structured routine, works from a trauma informed care framework. Candidates will have a BA degree in a Human Service related field or equivalent experience working with children. Must be able to remain awake for shifts. All candidates must have a valid Colorado Driver's license. This position offers a great opportunity to gain experience working with at-risk, EBD children. Youth Treatment Counselor
Full-time position works throughout campus as assigned to gain and share experience and skills with all milieus, developmental age groups (5-18) and teams. Responsible for implementing treatment and educational plans for children with multiple emotional/behavioral problems in a structured environment. Actively participate in achieving the Agency’s mission by supporting the therapeutic milieu, group, and individual treatment programs in a multi-disciplinary team setting. Participates in the daily supervision and care of children in the cottage. Responsible for planning and implementing therapeutic groups, behavior management and crisis intervention, and teaching basic daily living skills. Will provide a therapeutic balance of nurturance and limit setting demonstrating an understanding of the emotional needs of the children. Must be 21. BA in a Human Service related field required; plus one-year previous related experience.
