Clinician – Special Services Unit

Do you enjoy a fast paced environment working with children ages 5-14 with a variety of behavior and mental health issues? Clinician – Residential & Day Services

Responsible for providing family, individual, and group therapy as well as case management and working with treatment teams.  Coordinates case services with referring agencies, collaborative contacts and school staff.  Works a Monday-Friday schedule.  MSW or related graduate degree required; must be eligible for a provisional license and registered on DORA; licensure highly preferred (LCSW/LPC/LMFT). Must have strong family systems orientation and work from a trauma informed care and strengths-based approach.  All applicants must have a valid Colorado driver’s license. Night Youth Treatment Counselor

Awake, overnight person responsible for implementing a therapeutic and structured, safe milieu and the nightly supervision and care of children within a residential unit (ages 14-18) Performs routine cottage housekeeping chores and bed checks, inputs data into the computer and works with other staff for the morning wake up routine, breakfast and getting children to school. Works a Tuesday-Friday schedule. BA in a Human Service related field OR equivalent experience required. All candidates must have a valid Colorado driver’s license and be over the age of 21. Youth Treatment Counselors – School Based

School based assistants to provide direct care to students within a self-contained classroom serving up to 12 students with mental health and/or emotional and behavioral issues. Assists with instructional activities and behavior management in keeping with each child’s IEP and treatment plans.  Two positions available; one with primary/elementary aged, log cognitive students to focus on life skills and one to work with Middle/high school students.  These are not masters level school counseling positions.  Candidates will have a BA degree or the equivalent in related work experience, a valid Colorado driver’s license and previous experience working with high risk youth or providing supervision to groups of children within a structured environment. Supervising Clinician - Residential

Join the Tennyson Team with a signing bonus! Responsible for supporting and building therapeutic milieu, group and individual programs for the boys (ages 9-13) in a residential unit in partnership with treatment team members. Provides the supervision of the direct care staff. Provides a minimum of five hours of direct client contact each week (billing when applicable) which may include carrying cases, providing weekly group and individual therapy to assist residents who are struggling behaviorally or are in crisis. Collaborates with the treatment team to coordinate discharge planning to maintain stabilization. Works a Monday-Friday schedule. Licensure preferred but not required. Must be listed on DORA at time your resume is submitted. Must have three years’ experience with special needs, preferable EBD children, including supervisory and training skills. Knowledge of family systems theory and solution focused therapy needed. Requires strong organization and management skills, ability to handle crisis and make independent decisions. Youth Treatment Counselors

Full-time positions that works throughout the residential campus as assigned to gain and share experience and skills with all milieus, developmental age groups (5-18) and teams. Responsible for implementing treatment and educational plans for children with multiple emotional/behavioral concerns in a structured environment.  Participates in the daily supervision and care of children in the cottage. Responsible for planning and implementing therapeutic activities and groups, behavior management and crisis intervention, and teaching basic daily living skills. Will provide a therapeutic balance of nurturance and limit setting demonstrating an understanding of the emotional needs of the children. Must be 21. BA in a Human Service related field or equivalent experience required; related residential and/or day treatment experience preferred. Bilingual Therapist - Community Based Services

Provides home based family therapy, individual therapy and case management services working collaboratively with both internal and external resources in the home, school and community.  Participates in the assessment with families, referral sources and admissions department.  MSW, MA in Counseling or related graduate degree required; licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) highly preferred.  Must be registered on DORA and eligible for a provisional license.  Bilingual required (English/Spanish). Family therapy skills and theory base required.  Works from a framework that incorporates a solution focus and strength-based approach and formalizes the use of community resources.  Works a Tuesday-Saturday schedule including some evenings.
