Our Honorary Chairman To be entrusted with the care and well-being of a child is a great honor and privilege. It also is a great responsibility -- one that we each carry as a parent, teacher, or concerned citizen. Since 1972, Prevent Child Abuse America has been working to educate and support the public in efforts to prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect. Today, this mission is more important than ever. Child abuse is still a problem nationwide. As the Honorary Chairman of this organization, I encourage you to become part of the solution to child abuse prevention. Support programs like Healthy Families America that is founded on cutting edge research and is proven successful in helping families. Support efforts to provide every child with a happy and nurturing environment in which to grow. The future lies in fragile hands, the hands of our nation's children. But you can make a difference by doing something today. Through Prevent Child Abuse America's leadership, we have expanded our knowledge about child abuse and the complex issues surrounding it. Take the opportunity to learn more about child abuse prevention and find out how you can help strengthen families. Remember, child abuse can be prevented.
